The Queen is 25
Near the end of October I was asked to contribute a track to The Cover Lovers (a cover song blog) tribute album for The Smiths’ “The Queen is Dead”. I tried my hand at “The Boy With The Thorn In His Side”. It’s not my favorite Smiths song, but taking the time to deconstruct the original and find a way to make it my own gave me a new appreciation for it. There are some great renditions of these classics in this batch. Enjoy.

Instant Karma!
On the evening of John Lennon’s 70th birthday I recorded my own version of this classic tune. 3 hours, 2 guitars, 1 piano and myself. This version is dedicated to my grandfather, who passed the next morning.
